Black History Month 2011, and on the cusp of Women’s heritage month. I released a song a day via this website, a free-wheeling web-based journal of sorts, affectionately-called “Studio Workout”. Exploring topics such as: swag, self-confidence, Contemporary Art, professional practice, postmodernism, altermodernity, self-aggrandizement, serving The Community, The Griot, The Secret, and melody coupled with rhythm as a vehicle for meaning, it should prove to be the best mixtape of 2011. The internet is averse to air quotes.

Devin Kenny is an interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn,NY Los Angeles, CA working in several mediums and in collaboration with a number of artist groups including Friends with Benefits , as well as Wild Isle, DADDY, COMOTROOVAY-SA, and the Bruce High Quality Foundation. ‘Devin KKenny’ is a musical alias that seeks to explore issues of sociopolitical import and formal inquiry as they exist within the world of musical recording and performing.
